New Cozy Living Room

As our family grows (growing children) our townhouse is running out of space! There is a small room in the front when you walk in that was being used for basically nothing....an office that only I used!

It kind of looked like this BEFORE.

We never used this room as a living room since there was no cable outlet for the television but my husband said he would run the cable under the stairs. Sounds good to me so we moved the living room to the front of the house.

The space in our home is very challenging since the rooms are small.

I bought a new couch (Pier 1), new ottoman (Target), new rug (Tuesday Morning), lanterns (HomeGoods), and some pillows (Ross)

The big fishing sign I got for FREE from my work!! I asked for it every time I worked for about a year until they finally gave it up!

I originally bought the lanterns to hang in a set of three above the TV  but my friend said she had a large one before that she hung up and it never hung straight.
So I was going to just hang the little ones when I remembered I had something stashed away for some time now that would work perfectly!

Do you ever buy things because of a good price? I do it all the time and I finally had just the right place for these.
For these bad boys:)

I'm looking for just the right fabric for the chairs. I was looking into buying new chairs but after seeing the price of them and the poor quality I pulled these out of storage.
I haven't had the guts to pull them apart!! These chairs are SO Sturdy though! Thinking whitewash frame with a linen type fabric.

I'm such a sucker for casters. The ottoman is by Threshold @Target.
It opens up for extra storage.
The basket is from Michael's and its the perfect color of grey with a dry brush touch to it! I saw the starfish tied to the basket handle in a Pottery Barn catalog....so I did the same:)

I still need refinish the TV cabinet too. Thinking White or Grey.

I still need a new lamp and light fixture but this is WAY better than the way it was!
