Burlap Bunny Name Tags {Tutorial}

I have to say, I find myself making less and less crafts these days with all the cute stuff you can find the stores these days. I wanted something a little different for our Easter table setting this year though.

The burlap bunny cut outs go perfectly with the natural table setting theme.
They're even great to have your guests take home.

You will need:
* Burlap
*Mod Podge
*Clothes Pins
*Jute Twine
*Tags
*Buttons
*Bunny Templet

Paint Mod Podge all over your burlap and let it dry completely.

Trace your template onto the dried burlap and cut the bunny out. This will give you a hard burlap bunny cut out.

I printed a silhouette of a bunny off the internet for my template.

Thread your jute through the button and attach the tag to the back side of the button.

Add a clothes pin at the bottom to make the bunny stand up!
That's it! Now you have the cutest little bunny name tags for your guests on Easter.

Empire Dresser Makeover in Milk Paint

I couldn't be any happier with this makeover! I scored this empire dresser for $30 believe it or not! The veneer is cracking and peeling in places but that didn't scare me.
I always let a piece sit in my home unfinished for a little while until it talks to me. I knew I was going to use Miss Mustard Seeds milk paint but I wasn't sure of the color.

I finally decided on Mora, it's a perfect soft gray with a blue undertone. This was my first time using milk paint and I would say the only thing that I noticed is that with each layer of paint I put on you could see the color difference. I "touched up" a few spots and you could see the new layer of paint, so I would have to go over the entire area to make it even in color.

I love the paint and the finish it leaves though....& that amazing chipping!!!

I decided to leave the cracks in the veneer....I felt like it added character to the piece. I didn't want it to be "perfect." I left the original hardware and just changed two knobs to add a little touch of "new."
