Fall Tea for Two with Afloral.com

I've always wanted to throw a vintage inspired tea party and what better time than Fall! The dried flowers from Afloral.com set the perfect vintage Fall Tea for Two setting! I have two younger children, Luke is 3 and Ava is almost 2! I gathered up some of our thrifted china, family heirlooms and their little table set I built last year. Even though it's about 90 degrees every day here in Florida, when I think Fall, I think of warm cozy nights by the fire and yummy treats. Creating a little treat area makes this tea party more enjoyable for the kids and gives a cozy outdoor dining feel!

Modern Easter Table Setting

When It comes to party décor, I love a lot of different styles! My favorite is vintage but, I love modern as well when it comes to party décor. Since we'll be having an Easter party at our house, I thought what a great chance to mix vintage and modern!

The black & white paper, mini garden pots and napkin ring holders add the perfect touch of modern!

I used gold chargers, black & white stripped wrapping paper for the table cloth & layered it with lace. 

I absolutely LOVE the Pioneer Woman goblets and dessert glass!! These will get used for many parties to come:)

I made the napkin ring holders out of toilet paper rolls and wrapped ribbon around them. I painted small terracotta pots black and white, places a moss ball inside it and topped it off with a ceramic bunny head. Isn't it cute?

Modern Easter Table Setting

Dollar Tree Halloween Pinwheels

Halloween is one of our boys favorite holidays and with it falling on a Friday this year we have decided to have a party.

 

I've chosen a color scheme of black, white, and orange.

 

 

 

 When I came across these not so pretty pinwheels at the Dollar Tree I knew they could made into something great!

 

 

I found these Trick or Treat coasters as well. I used white coffee filters and black paper streamers to make the centers.

 

 

 

 What the pinwheel looks like. Its a sturdy thick paper!

 



 

Hot glue the paper streamer to the back of the coaster and than hot glue the coffee filter to the back of the coaster.

 

 

 

Hot glue the whole thing to the pinwheel and you're done.

 

 

 

It's an inexpensive and easy addition to the party décor!

Dollar Tree Halloween Pinwheels

Spring Easter Party

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

 

My boy's were thrilled when I told them we would be having an Easter party at our with all their friends.

 

I know it's all over but I'm still going to share it with all of you:) Some of it could even be used for summer parties.

 

 The "fence" looking backdrop was a bed frame I rescued from the trash!

The cake stand was thrown together using a CD container, scrap paper, pizza board and Martha Stewart trim paper.

I made little treat baskets out of used tuna cans, dyed coffee filters and the handles are from paper bags. 

 

 

 

 

I gave the ferns to the mommy's at the end:) Who doesn't enjoy a pretty plant?

 

I've been a little obsessed with paper flowers lately. I made these out of coffee filters, cupcake wrappers and doilies. 

 

We did a glow in the dark egg hunt once it got dark and the kids had a blast!!
