Spring Easter Party

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

My boy's were thrilled when I told them we would be having an Easter party at our with all their friends.

I know it's all over but I'm still going to share it with all of you:) Some of it could even be used for summer parties.

The "fence" looking backdrop was a bed frame I rescued from the trash!

The cake stand was thrown together using a CD container, scrap paper, pizza board and Martha Stewart trim paper.

Cotton candy gum ball "bunny tails"

The "veggie garden"

The "dirt cake"

I made little treat baskets out of used tuna cans, dyed coffee filters and the handles are from paper bags.

I gave the ferns to the mommy's at the end:) Who doesn't enjoy a pretty plant?

I've been a little obsessed with paper flowers lately. I made these out of coffee filters, cupcake wrappers and doilies.

We did a glow in the dark egg hunt once it got dark and the kids had a blast!!

Easter Treats On A Skewer

Anyone else getting ready for Easter? Easter is my kids second favorite holiday after Christmas and we're getting ready for a little party at our house so I thought I would share some cute Easter ideas with you' all:)

I don't have step by step pictures for this one but I am going to do my best to walk you through the steps, it's pretty self explanatory.

I used 12in. bamboo skewers, Easter Reese's cups, green jute rope from Target Dollar Spot and I made the toppers from a tutorial found at Oh Happy Day HERE.

I basically just pushed the Reese's cups up the skewer in alternating colors not going all the way to the top. Made the toppers from white pom poms that I picked up at Target Dollar Spot and this tutorial HERE.

Once everything was in place on the skewer I tied green jute rope from Target Dollar Spot at the bottom to help hold it all in place.

I placed foam in the bottom of the can and poked my skewers in place. I finished the can off with some paper grass, felt rick rack from last years 50% off deals and the basket cut out from a friends Cricut.

This was a super easy DIY and now everyone in the house has to reframe from eating the Reese's cups...hehe!
