Husband's Business is Growing

My husband has finally opened up a shop!! He has been running his own business for eight years now and has grown his business every year since he has started!!

His business started out as a mobile auto detailing business in a large business park, working in the sun all day, up at 5:30 a.m., doing the same thing for about four years. He had a bigger dream for himself and he has made it happen!

How about his great office?!?!! HAHA!! I will be doing A LOT of updating to this space A.S.A.P.

The previous owner was in this space for 30 YEARS! That is a hint as to how long this office has been "untouched"

He now gets to work out of the sun and is working on cars that are $1,000,000+!! He has followed his passion and dream and is now making it a reality:)

So proud of him!

The paint AFTER

He works on these cars for days at a time, but after he has worked his magic on them....HOLY SHINY!!

AND...I think I just might be happier about this new shop because look what's next door...an upholstery shop!

You better believe I am going to make best friends with this guy and try to learn a few things:))

So, that now means I can now use our garage as my studio/storage/stock pile!!

It has been difficult to do anything in our garage due do I can't make dust, don't make it look like a junk yard, don't scratch the CAR!

I can now get my end of stuff cleaned up!

I will leave you with some projects that will be getting makeovers soon.

Sideboard

This round table with four chairs. The chairs are below.

My boys helping me clean them off:))

I am going to use these legs from a table that I pulled out of a neighbors trash for a small baby bed to be used as photo props.

Small cabinet

A toy box/shelf thing....this is in our family room right now and is GREAT!! Just need to get some paint on it!

Sewing cabinet from about three years ago!!

And I can't believe I am going to show you how I have been storing stuff.........

THIS can now come to a stop!!!

Happy dance for me:)

Wannabe Photographer

Like many bloggers do, I have fallen in love with photography! I am not even close to being a "photographer" but I am enjoying practising and doing little photo side jobs for friends.

Well....this weekend is the big day for me!!

I will be shooting a wedding!

I am EXTREMELY nervous and afraid that I won't get any good shots!

The wedding is at 6:00 p.m. and have not done a lot of low light shots.

I have been talking to other photographers and watching a TON of Youtube videos.

I am putting together some props and decorations for the wedding though. I would much rather be doing the decor!!

You will have to wait to see the whole thing.

This was my inspiration.

I have several tree stumps still...knowing they would come in handy some day. That day has come!

I have been reading Style Me Pretty for some time now. It's a wedding site with lots of photos, DIY wedding decor, and much more. If you want to look at beautiful wedding photos and get some inspiration; go check it out.
Prepping for this shoot, work, Etsy shop, and mother/wife duties have kept me VERY busy the past two weeks!!

I can't wait to be done and get back to my To Do list.

I will leave you with some pictures that I took of my son a few weeks ago to practice.
It was really windy this day and my son was not happy about taking pictures...as you can tell!

The last two are my Favorite!

Please keep your fingers crossed that I get some good shots!

HAPPY 4TH!!

I wish I had some great photos of 4th of July decorations, but sad to say I did not have time to do any 4th decorations:(

I do have a flag that I made for my husbands aunt this past Christmas, with some lyrics from Kenny Chesney painted on it.

Have A Safe & Wonderful 4TH!!!

Free Benjamin Moore Paint Sample

I picked up my FREE paint sample at Ace Hardware last week and tried it on a picture frame that I turned into our office dry/erase calendar.

If you go onto the Benjamin Moore Facebook page & "like" it you can print out a FREE COUPON HERE. The coupon expires June 30th.

I'm in the process of re-doing our home office and I have decided to go with Navy Blue, Gray, and White color pallet.

Picked up a new paint brush...because a girl can never have enough paint brushes:)

The brush is FABULOUS!!! It just might be better than my Purdy brush.

This is what the picture looked like "BEFORE"
I turned it into this.
YES...the calendar is from the barn days, but I will print up some stickers to go over all the horse stuff.
At least it's not sitting in my closet rolled up any more AND we were about to go buy a dry/erase board when I remembered I had this laying around, so we saved ourselves some $$.
Pulled it apart.
Checked to see if it was a fit....
Painted the frame with Old Navy by B.M.
Taped some foam board to the back to help with stabilizing it.

Put the back "frame" back in and it held it in place and it fit like a glove!

Now I'm about to redo the office space, looking for inexpensive shelves, desk, file cabinet, & storage boxes.

You can check out some more of my
pins for my home office inspiration HERE!
