Hope everyone is ready for some Christmas Décor Inspiration! I've teamed up with some other amazing bloggers for a "Jingle Through the Blog" blog hope to bring you some Christmas Décor of all styles!
This is our second Christmas in our new home but last year didn't count since we had just moved in and I had a baby, so it's like our first! haha I didn't really have a design plan/theme going into our décor this year except for the little tree farm display that you will see at the end of this post! That was the only area I planned for in advance. I knew I wasn't going to be able to buy a lot more this year either and worked with what I had.
With two little ones this year, a 10 month old & two year old, I had to be carful with how much stuff they could reach and limit some areas on how much I decorated.
This area is in the front our home and what you see when you walk into the front of our home. I don't think I will ever have enough Christmas trees around the house! The snowy twig one on the ground is from Walmart & the green one on the table is from Homegoods. I had that sleigh from Michael's for years but it was an unfinished wood before, so I stained it and put it to use this year.
Target has the cutest signs this year in the Dollar Spot! Isn't that Fresh Cut Trees sign adorable?
Every year after Christmas I go shopping for décor. 75%-80% off is way better than paying full price! I got those cute light up birch tree snow flakes from Walmart last year and they go perfectly with the natural, elegant look I was going for in the living room. I had to get creative with the stockings since the babies could reach them if I hung them on any of our tables and our two year old recently cracked the screen on our big television, so we put our small t.v. from the guest room there and it actually gave me space to hang our stockings on the wall.
The dining room took on a completely different look than the living room. I knew I wanted more red and green in the dining room and after finding a couple items at Target Dollar Spot with red stripes, I added small touches of the red stripes in the dining room.
I found those cute red striped plates at Michael's on clearance for $1.30 each! 80% off!!
I always try to use and mix in family pieces into our holiday décor. The placemats and Christmas tree napkin ring holders were my husbands late Grandmother and I wasn't planning on having that much green in the décor but I felt it mixed in and she would be happy knowing it's being used!
This area I had planned 6 months ago! I knew I wanted a little tree farm set up with lights hanging down. I wasn't sure how I was going to hang the lights when I thought about using a pole but I wanted more depth to the lights. I ended up making a ladder from branches in the backyard and the best part is that it was free! I made the Christmas Trees For Sale sign and pilled up all of my trees. Added some fake snow and I love how it all turned out!
