Simple Valentine set up with some after Christmas sale items.
I picked up the red berry branches for 29 cents each and the burlap trees for $1.29 each at Michael's!!!
The wicker hearts are from Target....on sale after Christmas for $1.50 each!! I SOOO LOVE them!!!
I painted the mini clothes pins pink to give them a little color.
It's just little metal embellishments tied on with sewing string.
I just cut out some burlap and painted XO on them....if you just fold it over your string it will stay! SIMPLE!
Love being able to use some Christmas stuff in our Valentine decor:))

Everything looks great, I love it! where did you get the metal letters? I like the banner with them very cute.
ReplyDeleteI think they were from Micheal's...I got them in a free box of craft stuff so I'm not to sure:)
DeleteHi! Thanks for your comment on my blog. That piece is one of my favorites and I'm planning more. Enough about that. I stopped by to check out your blog and really love your technique. I'm wondering what you did to that small chest in this post. Was it a white wash where you "washed" on the paint then rubbed it off? I haven't tried that technique but your finish looks lovely and I'm wondering if you could share how you got it.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I still have its twin that needs refinishing. I plan on doing a video tutorial for it since it took me a couple of tries to achieve the look I was going for. I watered down grey paint and used a sponge brush to put it on. Wipped it off with a damp soft cloth....old shirt:)) I think depending on what type wood you do it on, you will get a slightly different look.
DeleteCute! I like the burlap banner with metal letters.
