Vintage Buffet Makeover {Pottery Barn Inspired}

I am completely smitten with this makeover! We have had this buffet for some time now waiting to be made over.

My husband had had enough of it taking up room in "his" garage and brought it inside. I'm glad he did because it was just the push I needed to get her done!

I chose a creamy white (Clark & Kensington) since it's new home is our living room.

The original hardware is AMAZING on this piece, so I kept it.

  2. Oh that hardware looks so great after you painted the buffet! (And the buffet too of course...just lovely!) It looks very PB-ish.

  3. OMG.
    Your piece is SO much cooler than that Pottery Barn inspiration. They should take a lesson from your creativity and eye. You can't buy The Eye. :)
    I'm adding you to my Bloglovin so I can watch your future creations!

    1. Thank you!! That's why I will never buy a piece of furniture from a store! They are pretty but not unique:) With some love on an old piece you can make it one of a kind.

  4. what a gorgeous piece! Your piece totally outshines the inspiration piece!!I am totally smitten! my favorite thing to make a statement and change a piece (other than paint of course) used to be hardward but I have fallen in love with adding legs to a piece! It can so totally change the look! Great job!

    1. Great idea!!! Thank you! I tossed around the idea of changing the hardware after painting it for about a week. So glad I didn't! Once I put it all back on it really did stand out!

  10. So many great things about this transformation! It's great that you left the top natural and the hardware against the light color really highlights the hardware. Great job!

  13. OK so we're supposed to believe the "inspiration piece" is worth $1500. Guess that means your redone sideboard which is undoubtedly made of better wood and has fab, heavyweight hardware would come in at $5,000! Good for you, you did a fine job transforming a huge, brown buffalo into something anyone would love to have in their house.
