Peter Rabbit Spring Door Decor

I'm excited to be joining some talented blogging friends today for a Spring Festival Blog Hop hosted by Kendra at Joy in our Home! There are 24 other bloggers joining with a different theme each day this week! Today are vignettes and I'm sharing a little Spring display using vintage Peter Rabbit books!

I've been wanting to do a little Peter Rabbit set up for a couple of years now and never got around to printing anything for it. I told myself, this is the year I have to do it! Ironically my sister came for a visit and brought me this cute vintage mini box set of books! I was so excited when I saw them! The books are so much cutter than printing off some images!

The books are small, so I chose a small spot in our house to display them. I left the Rag Wreath I made for Valentines Day up and started styling around it. I wanted a garden feel to the display, using Dollar Tree clay pots, faux ferns, vintage flower frogs & a mini set of garden tools. I have no idea where the mini garden tools came from!🤣 I just found them one day and thought how cute, stashed them away and remembered while setting this up that I had them with all of my gardening stuff outside!

I made the fabric carrots out of some linen fabric I had and cut book pages into shreds for the carrot tops.

The dried flowers and faux ferns help hold the books open and to lean up. It took some maneuvering to get the two books on the ends to stay open but I was determined!

I had planned on painting the clay pots white and distressing them but I never got around to it. They're a little more orange than I would like but still cute. Sometimes there just isn't enough time to get the little things done & it's better to get the project done even if it's not exactly how you want it.

What I love most, are the mini book wreaths I made! I bought the little natural wreaths at the Dollar Tree a couple weeks back because I just thought they were so cute! I didn't know what I would use them for at the time. I'm glad I did, it's a way to display books on the wall without harming the book.
Pick up moss and binder clips from the Dollar Tree while you're there to make these!

Hope you've enjoyed my little vintage Peter Rabbit book display today & that you'll go visit the other bloggers projects listed below!
