Winter Love Valentines Tablescape

I'm excited to be joining some blogger friends today in a Valentine Tablescape blog hop! Thank you, Chloe at Celebrate and Decorate for inviting me! I already had a Winter table setting already in the works, so I just added onto that. You can find the details on the Winter Centerpiece HERE! I like creating décor that can work for multiple purposes. Just add in color, shapes, textures, etc. & you now have a different look!

I love pink & I love blue, so this year I mixed the two together and it turned out soft and elegant but not over the top. I try not to buy seasonal décor anymore because it's just not what my heart likes. I like antiques, vintage, things that have history & a story behind them. Like the blue antique plates that can be used for many occasions, not just Valentines.

Easy 30 Minute Valentines Decor

Valentines Day gives me a reason to be a little creative after the holidays and change up areas around the house for fun. I always do a little bit of Valentines décor in small areas of our home. I find it to be less stressful and fun if you keep it simple and just do one to two small areas in the home. This Wall in our living room is one area I change up every couple of months or sooner. I'm actually ready for a BIG change on this wall! I'm thinking of adding board and batten and all new décor! I love having the lights and doors but the doors were just temporary to fill the space a year ago! 🤣  I'd like to keep the lights but do something new with everything else!

Anyways....onto this years Valentines décor! It's all very simple and took about 30 minutes to create!

Vintage Inspired Valentines Entryway

It's the first holiday after Christmas and I couldn't wait to get some new décor up in the house! Valentines décor can be tricky sometimes. The stores sell mostly red and pink cutesy stuff and that's just not my style. I love seeing it in others homes though! For myself, I wanted something with a vintage and romantic feeling. Simple, with touches of blush. I don't decorate the whole house.....just one little area on our buffet table.

Using old books, antique corbels and antique china filled with flowers adds a simple vintage feel. You don't need to always write on a chalkboard either. They make for a different background to layer décor over. I used a command hook to hang the wreath in the center of the empty frame and the frame is just duck tapped to the back of the chalkboard.

The heart ornaments are from Target after Christmas sale 4 years ago! I knew when I saw them I wasn't going to use them for Christmas, but for Valentine's décor.

I ripped the covers off of old books and bundled them together with blush lace. Aren't they cute? I have a thing for lace! I would probably have it hanging off of everything in our house if I didn't have three boys!    haha

Every time I walk by this display, it makes me smile! How about you, are you ready to decorate for Valentines now?
