I don't typically decorate for the 4th of July but I've been feeling a little uninspired and I know if I have a "reason" to get inspired or change something up for the creative ideas to start flowing. For smaller holidays I'll do just smaller areas in our home like the dining room I went around the house and looked for blue & white items. Just by adding some American flags and blue décor that was enough to get the 4th of July feel.
Faux white peonies, a blue vintage scale, white dishes with a touch of red and blue mason jars. I like mixing vintage pieces in with the 4th décor by adding brass candle sticks and old crib spindles.
I pulled out the Christmas palates with a red stripe for the pop of red and the used an antique blue scale to create a centerpiece.
I came across the table cloth at Target but it's actually a curtain panel. It was on sale and I LOVED the pom pom edging!
Dried blue Delphiniums help add height along with the spindles in the galvanized bucket.
Are you getting ready for the 4th of July?
I kept it simple so it's easy to transition into the next season.
Hope this inspires you to gather up some your blue décor and set it out!
Hi Desiree,
ReplyDeleteI love how you layer and your creativity with the curtain panel turned table cloth.
I also spy a pretty vintage scale, xo
